Sandra Welch Boren is the newest member of the Moses Cone~Wesley Long Community Health Foundation. She joined the Foundation in June 2008 bringing twenty years of fundraising and foundation experience to the organization. She served as the Program Officer for the Cemala Foundation and prior to that was the Associate Director of the North Carolina Zoo Society. Sandra earned her Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2004) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from High Point University (1993). Boren serves as a Board Member for Piedmont Land Conservancy, is a member of the Greensboro Friends of the North Carolina Zoo Society and volunteers as a tutor with Reading Connections, an adult literacy program serving Guilford County. Other relevant community work includes past service on the Greensboro Communities in Schools Board of Directors. Sandra is an avid cyclist and enjoys skiing and hiking. |
