The Foundation's vision of the community served is:
- A health conscious community, where social and physical environments support healthy choices.
- A community that identifies good health/health status as an asset, where good health/health status is recognized among the most important things making Greensboro a great place to live, to work, to be.
- A primary medical home for each person, providing access to services as needed for each individual, and reliable links to the other components of the continuum of services accessible in or from the community.
The road to good health is paved with the stepping stones of education. To make many of the lifestyle changes needed to improve one’s health, individuals must first know the facts then become motivated to make those changes a reality. Moses Cone-Wesley Long Community Health Foundation believes in the community, believes in the power of each individual. The Foundation’s vision is that the community becomes truly health conscious and supports social and physical environments that reinforce healthy choices.
In such a community, good health is recognized as an asset, an asset among many others making Greensboro a great place to live and work. In such a community, all have access to quality health care. Comprehensive care is available through a network of agencies whose prime focus is making the continuum of services accessible to all.
